We have continued to be busy bees this summer and I can’t believe it is already almost over. Time flies… when you travel every weekend! I would love to say the fall will slow us down, but Thomas informs me he plans on visiting T’town for every home game. (Roll Tide!) Since the last post and visiting Memphis for Maybree’s birthday. We have traveled to Huntsville for my dear friend Julie’s wedding, Washington D.C. for a Govan family trip, Atlanta for market, Destin and New Orleans. Oh, and Thomas traveled to Las Vegas some where in there for a boys weekend. Like I said, it has been a wild summer!
And to top it all off, I have been PREGNANT this entire time! Yep, I woke Thomas up in early May to inform him he was going to be a daddy. Needless to say it was 5:15 in the morning but he was a little surprised. So I guess when I said a few months ago, “No, I didn’t start this blog because I am pregnant” God was probably laughing at me. Because not too long after… poof… we’re pregnant! (More on this later though)
After the wedding in Hunstville we ran to Birmingham to catch an early flight to D.C. It was hot but a lot of fun. (minus the first visit of morning sickness) We visited Ford’s Theater, the monuments, the capital, Smithsonian, Arlington Cemetery and lots more.

A few weekends later I got the chance to spend family time with my sister and mom in Atlanta at Market. My sister is a wonderfully talented interior designer and is even more wonderful for taking us to Market. It was a blast, lots of walking and laughing and catching up with the two most wonderful women in my life.
Thomas and I then finally, after a long summer of no beach and no ocean (thank you BP) hit the beach with Andrea, my sister, and her family. It was a well-needed vacation from all the vacations. And we had the joy of experiencing Maybree’s first beach trip with her. She loved the water… to the point she was running at it. It was fun watching her learn new things. But the best part was No Oil! The water was beautiful!

The summer is coming to an end; kids are returning to school, pools are closing, and football talk is in the air. It was a great summer but I am definitely looking forward to some cooler weather and football!
